ACH 44th Annual Conference: Curaçao, 2012
OPTIONAL CONFERENCE FIELD TRIP:
It is a long-standing tradition of the ACH to organize an optional field trip during the Friday of our conference to allow attendees to experience the history and culture of our host venue.
This year’s excursion will be to plantations in the western part of Curaçao, in the district called Banda Bou. This region housed the few enterprises on the island which grew crops for commercial export in the nineteenth century. They were the largest local plantations, which belonged to the island’s few slave-masters, some of which housed over one hundred enslaved. The fee for this field trip will be approximately $60.00.
More details will be posted on the ACH website shortly.
